Apply to be an Artist-In-Residence

The Guantanamo Bay Museum of Art and History is pleased to announce the establishment of a remote artist-in-residence program for artists around the world. We feel that it is incredibly important to support artists whose work reflects on the questions of human rights and remembrance.

Because there are high legal restrictions on granting live/work visas in Guantanamo Bay, we have decided to design the program specifically as a remote residency, meaning the artists selected to be in the program will receive a stipend from the museum and will work where they are currently living. Upon completion, the artist's work will be featured in the main gallery of the Tipton Three Exhibition Space.

Our residency program is presently suspended, but if you would like to submit new work for consideration for our exhibitions please reach out to us using the museum's contact form.
